Friends, Hullensians, Countrymen lend me your ears.

We stand once again not at a crossroads for this country but on the edge of a precipice; with this election we have the choice to continue along the thin path of social democracy or to fall into chaos.

Only Labour provides the security to keep the country improving in the difficult times in which we live: the cost of living crisis, Russia’s heinous invasion of Ukraine and of course the Climate Emergency.

However, thanks to our work already we are not starting from zero - in the short time we had after the collapse of the coin-flip coalition we acted quickly and got more money in the pockets of you - the workers of Britain. We have provided £7 billion to protect against rising energy costs, £1.5 billion to protect businesses and taken a range of measures to reduce the impact of the crisis at the point of purchase for example our 25% reduction in transport fares.

If re-elected we won’t stop there; by repealing the appointment deposit act and outlawing all parking charges for hospital staff, patients and visitors will mean visiting hospital no longer has exorbitant or any costs attached.

As well as this and others we have our flagship policy: giving you, the people, the choice on rejoining the single market. Brexit has hit all of us hard and has exacerbated the cost of living crisis significantly. We therefore believe it is in the best interests of the country to present a choice on the issue. Over half of yorkshire businesses are struggling with exporting and importing the goods they need to.

Things need to change and only voting Labour gives that opportunity; Solidarity and the Conservatives are both ideologically prejudiced against the support the EU can bring and we must not let the once great Humberside be held back by them now or ever.
