*Muffin5136 spends a day going door to door talking to prospective voters about the issues they are most concerned about, some exerpts are as follows:*
**A 30-year old bank teller:** "I've often thought about getting an electric car, as I've heard they're better for the environment, and I've seen recent reports saying petrol cars are to be banned soon, but I'm worried I won't be able to find anywhere to charge it"
**Muffin:** "This is a concern I hear loud and clear, and is one I sympathise with. It is why the Progressive Workers Party is promising to build the necessary infrastructure to ensure all fuel stations have electric charging points and hydrogen pumps to support ownership of non petrol cars. As your MP I'll work to deliver for Doncaster the Green future you deserve, a future that works for you."
**A 19-year old bar staff worker from a local pub:** "I loved working in a pub whilst at home from University to earn a bit more money, but I'm worried that I won't be able to keep doing it, as the owner keeps talking about possibly needing to sell the pub as its not worth the money anymore"
**Muffin:** "I completely get where you're coming from, I have fond memories of pulling pints back at my old student bar. The pub industry has changed a lot in the last few years, but has been at risk a lot recently. This is something the Progressive Workers Party wants to reverse, to allow a resurgence in pubs, which is why we are committed to bringing back the 10pm drinking ban, so only pubs and bars can sell alcohol past those times, supermarkets and off-licences must know where to draw the line. Under my watch, your job will always be protected, as will the pub industry."
**A 45-year old stay at home mum:** "I've got a 17 year old set to finish school soon, but I'm really worried about him, as he doesn't seem to have a clue of what to do in life, he really needs a sense if purpose or discipline to kick him into action."
**Muffin:** "That is definitely an issue I can understand, and I hope that I can help to deliver easier paths to help people like your son find a purpose. First there is University, which has become more common in recent years, and is something I care about deeply about ensuring works for students, which I why I want to ensure more support for students and academic staff, to create a system that works well. However, I recognise that this is not for everyone, which is why I am supporting and expansion of apprenticeship opportunities and training options to help people like your son have a wider range of careers. And if none of them appeal, the Progressive Workers Party is set to reintroduce a form of national service, where people like your son will be able to gain life skills in various departments of the military or the emergency services. This will provide a set discipline system but also open many doors to new and interesting careers whilst allowing him to give back to society and support Britain. "
**35-year old Criminal Justice teacher at Doncaster College:** "I've been recently teaching my students about the importance of rehabilitation as a part of criminal justice, and they've found this a very interesting topic so far. What are your thoughts on this?"
**Muffin:"** It is great to hear about how interested your students are in this topic, and I thank you for the work you do in teaching our next generation as you do, it is a real service to society that you do. I strongly agree that rehabilitation is a vital part of the criminal justice programme. That is why I am supporting more investment into rehabilitation programmes as well as allowing non-violent criminals to give back to society whilst rebuilding their lives by being able to serve some of their sentence as part of our planned National Service scheme, to gain life skills and have a job upon release."
**56-year old kids football coach:** "I've been volunteering as a football coach for a local youth team, but recently we've been facing some financial troubles, and we've seen a number of kids have to stop coming because they don't have the money to keep at it."
**Muffin:** "That is very sad to hear, that so many kids are missing out on being able to get involved in sports based on pure financial issues. It is an issue that I really hope to tackle as your MP next term, where I will introduce investment to support grassroots sports, and ensure that no child is left out of playing, and to ensure that people like yourself have the resources you need to support the local community."
**39 year old Nurse:**"I've been a nurse for 15 years now, and in that time I've barely seen my pay increase, whilst my friends working in corporate offices have been receiving regular raises resulting in much higher earnings."
**Muffin**:" I wish to first thank you for the incredible work you do for your local community and for the country as a whole. It is the work of people like you that keep this country strong, providing an essential service, a service that I've seen first hand as being excellent. It is a service that deserves fair pay, and that is what I am pledging you, for you to receive fair pay for the work you do, and so as your MP, I can assure you that I will push for you to receive annual pay increases so you are paid fairly for the service you provide."
**A 70-year old retiree:** "I've spent my whole life paying taxes, but everytime they deliver a budget the money always seems to be wasted, as they kept taxing working people like me, rather than those with big money."
**Muffin:**"I wholeheartedly agree with that, which is why in the last budget, which the Progressive Workers Party worked on is set to end the deficit, meaning no more borrowing and fairer taxation. It is a budget I will look to continue as we spend money wisely on good projects. I will also be supporting the reduction of tax for those on lower income from working backgrounds, to ensure you can use your money, and instead be taxing the rich more and to close tax loopholes to ensure multinational companies stop taking the mick at the extent of working British people."
*Muffin spent the rest of the day listening and talking to more people, and handing out flyers as they go:*
*Some people are so inspired by the words they hear that they agree to put signs in their window showing their support:*
