Chi joins DriftersBuddy out on the campaign trail in Brent, handing out leaflets and talking to prospective voters. After a few hours of thirsty work, pounding the streets and getting the good word out about the Conservatives they decide to take a well deserved break in McGoverns pub. They buy the lunchtime crowd a round, which probably wasn’t in the drinkers best interests, and sat down to have a chat with them.

One Drinker asks “How can I be sure the Conservatives are working for me?”

DB nods sympathetically and says “Well look at what we’ve done in the last term! We passed the Veteran Support Bill which helped veterans recover if they’ve fallen on tough times, we passed the digital and industrial protection act which ensures that we have the power to intervene and save British jobs, your jobs. We also passed the Parental Bereavement Bill to allow partners the right time to grieve and relieve some of the pressures of that harrowing time.”

Another asks, “Will they properly defend our country?”

DB chuckles, “Without a doubt he says! We are committed to the NATO mandated 2% of GDP target but we will go above and beyond on that by providing an extra 0.5% specifically for improving the living conditions and salaries of soldiers, not only making their lives easier, but ensuring we have a fighting force which is motivated and fit to face the challenges of the modern day.

Space, as many have said, is the final frontier, and the Conservative Party is the only party dedicated to ensuring that we are not left behind. With reports that Russia is already launching weaponised platforms into space it’s imperative that your government takes this threat seriously and provides the appropriate tools for the job. The Tories are the only ones to do this”

“And what about the NHS” a drunk hollers from the back

“We love the NHS! Unlike Labour and LPUK we intend to ensure that our future budgets include new funding for the NHS, with £600 million pledged to support bursaries for paramedics and nurses. We will flood CAMHS with funding and hire 15,000 specialist mental health nurses to deal with the ensuing mental health crisis. We will launch a National Obesity Scheme to ensure that everyone has access to prosper nutritional advice, healthy organic food and quality exercise facilities. We are tackling the largest issues the NHS faces head on, with strategy and funding.”

Chi and DB leave the pub, thoroughly pleased that they’ve convinced the drinkers to support the Conservatives and carry on their campaign trail.
