Good day all, I’m so excited to be speaking here today as the Scottish Progressive Party’s candidate for Tayside.

Scotland is at a crucial stage in its history as its status in the union is under threat. With the rise of nationalist parties such as the SNP, it is vital that unionists, like us in the Progressives, rise to meet them and not give up the fight to keep our United Kingdom. We in the Progressives fully believe that Scotland is strongest when working side-by-side with the national government in Westminster and the other devolved governments in Cardiff and Belfast. Unity is better than division - I hope that is something that everyone, no matter what you believe, can agree on. As a unified country and a unified economy, we can be stronger than ever before and put this country back on the map as an epicentre of international trade and democracy and we can set an example - that strength comes through unity.

If you want a Scotland that is stronger, closer, more prosperous and more equal, then the choice in this election is obvious - choose the Scottish Progressives. Thank you.
