How are we all today?”

*The crowd screams “Good!” loudly at him.*

“Good to hear. I was very pleased to have received an invitation from you all yesterday and it’s an honour to talk to you tonight about this very important matter. Climate change is something that we have fought against for a long time and we’re a party who wants to see the effects reversed as much as possible.

We’re a party who fought against measures that hurt the environment and we will continue to do so in the future. One of the measures that we want to implement is a referendum on congestion charges. We believe that local authorities should have the ability to implement congestion charges, which are evidently good to combat the carbon output made by cars and other vehicles. Instead we should invest in railway transport and other ways of public transport, which is better for the environment and climate in the long run.

We also want to invest in green housing, making sure that the Scottish Government gives out grants to people who want to greenify their house. This includes the triple glazing of windows, which reduce the amount of heat that is lost within a home. By giving out these grants, we can make sure that the houses that are owned by people who don’t earn a lot of money can still be climate friendlier.

We also want to ensure that we roll back on offshore drilling, which is something that harms the environment and is stressful for the animals living in the proximity.

These are just a few of the proposals we want to implement after the Scottish elections, so vote for us to save the environment and the climate in Scotland.”
