"Ladies and gentlemen, over the last week you have seem campaigns from 6 parties, each with their own differences in policy and goals. You'll probably have been somewhat harassed by a canvasser on behalf of each party at some point too.

There is no doubt in my mind, or indeed many on the campaign trail, that the Alliance Party is the true cross community party. The party that looks past flags, colours and songs and instead sees a person.

A person, living in Northern Ireland. A person that could potentially elect us. To make Northern Ireland a better place for them and their future generations.

For the last year and a half, you have put trust in me as an MLA. I've served in many roles, First Minister, deputy First Minister, as well as numerous Ministerial portfolios. My experience and knowledge are second to none right across the UK.

Now, with this election, we have an even better proposal. An fresh, expanded team, filled with strength and charisma, such as Zygark, Twistednuke and Count Brandenburg. Our legislative output, debates and activity inside the Assembly and outside have never been better.

A manifesto, filled to the brim with ideas and goals that will bring Northern Ireland flying into not only the 21st century, but right into the 2020s.

Northern Ireland has so much potential, and we have the determination and know-how to see out the task and leave a lasting mark on Northern Irish history, economy and culture.
