Having gotten slightly tipsy in Cardiff SU, /u/bloodycontrary and his by now absolutely smashed SpAd arrived at Birmingham New Street to back up his colleague /u/i_snort_anthrax in this fine city:
Hello my friends!
Let me get straight to the point. Your Liberal Democrat candidate here is a top bloke. I hear he's off to the Cadbury factory as we speak to talk more about how the Liberal Democrats will improve the lives of people in this particular area of the Midlands.
it wasn't that long ago I was here in a journalistic capacity reporting on the Lib Dem by-election win next door.
It was an interesting by-election. Parties of Government don't traditionally win by-elections but we did it anyway. There seems to be a change in feeling around here, a change toward a liberal way of thinking that I think will do us all good.
For example, the high speed lines. The people of Birmingham can get to London and the North is double quick time. For leisure or for business, Birmingham is truly Britain's transport centre, and what a boon that is for the area!
But what do LPUK do? They drone on, and on, and on, about HS2 and how they want to cancel it. How they want to effectively reduce capacity and cut Birmingham off from the rest of the country.
Is this the representative you want in this fine city? Someone whose party knows what they want to knock down, but not what they'll build?
I think we all know the right choice, and that's the terrific Liberal Democrat candidate you have here.
