To be broadcast on the drivetime show in the late afternoon of Wednesday
Peter O'Hanra'Hanrahan: Hello /u/bloodycontrary, it's good of you to talk to us tonight.
bloodycontrary: It's a pleasure, Mr O'Hanra O'hanrahanrahan
POHH: It's just O'Hanra-Hanrahan, but Peter is fine.
BC: Thanks, Pete.
POHH: Peter- Oh, never mind. So, you're here to support /u/redwolf177 in his bid for MP in Bristol and Somerset?
BC: Yes
POHH: OK, would you like to expand on that?
BC: Sure. He is a splendid chap, who's done great work for the UK nationally and also has a distinguished record over the Severn in Wales. He's clearly the only option, and obviously much better than the previous incumbent MP.
POHH: You don't like LPUK leader and known duper and Nigel Farage fetishist /u/friedmanite?
BC: I'm sure he's fine personally, but his politics are just insane. Remember, several members of his own party wanted to depose him for his extreme right-wing views. And then remember that this party is the Libertarian Party, which implies madness anyway. So for mad people, he's too crazy.
POHH: What sort of policies?
BC: OK, so one example that's come up lately is the Uklp-
POHH: Uklp?
BC: Sorry, I get confused between Ukip and LPUK. Freudian slip. Whoops!
POHH: Er, ok
BC: Anyway, LPUK are always droning on about how the free market is king and poor people should just shut up and put up with it if they're not helpful to the bizarre view LPUK have of """"the market""" (note to listeners - I did extensive air quotes). So one of their policies it to cut red tape. What red tape? Well, they won't say! But we all know what they mean. Obviously they can't come out and actually say that they want children to sweep chimneys again, but while that sounds absurd LPUK definitely lean that way.
POHH: You're sure about that?
BC: Oh yes, definitely.
POHH: Fair enough. Anything else?
BC: Yes, the UKI- sorry, LPUK leader vociferously opposes anything and everything to do with railways, including those things that would actually help this part of the World. Railway reopenings in Somerset, for instance, and I'm sure his head would literally explode if he saw that we were looking seriously at a high speed line going through Bristol between London and Swansea, which is a splendid idea that I know has a lot of support among Bristolians.
POHH: Oh, it does? Yes, yes, it does. Why would he oppose such a thing?
BC: Because he hates HS2. Nobody really knows why.
POHH: Could you elaborate?
BC: I suppose everybody has a phobia, and LPUK have a phobia of good transport infrastructure, and helping poor people, and being internationalist, and they obviously hate immigrants for what are, I'm sure, totally legitimate reasons and not at all informed by right-wing blogs and rabid tabloids. I merely suggest that if somebody holds these views, they'd be a poor MP for Bristol and Somerset, or anywhere really.
POHH: Wow, thank you for this, much to chew on for the people of Bristol and Somserset!
BC: Yes, indeed, thank you, Peter. I'm off to get the train.
