/u/bloodycontrary arrived in the centre of Cardiff today to support his friend and colleague /u/ruijormar's campaign in south Wales. He arrived at a packed event in Clwb Ifor Bach, who have thrown their support behind the Liberal Democrats in recent times:

Hello everybody, it's great to be back here... I spent a lot of time in this building as a student, and I'm grateful for the support you all showed me when campaigning for AM a few weeks ago.

But now we're here to support /u/ruijormar, who's campaigned here with distinction before and represents the best of the Liberal Democrats.

And you, of course, the best of Wales. We all know the choices that are before us. Who can be trusted and who can't.

Even in this building, a place proud to represent Welsh culture and the Welsh language, we know that the likes of Plaid Cymru are not the answer. Their MPs don't even show up for debates and votes, and in the past have treated us all with disdain. The people of Wales are being taken for granted.

And, honestly, the less said about the Tories the better. They couldn't even be arsed to get out of bed for the Welsh Assembly!

But what of the Liberal Democrats in Wales? We have a strong history here. Some of our best MPs hail from this fine nation. Your colleague and mine, /u/wagbo_, is in North & Mid Wales this week putting the case of a Liberal Democrat Wales with a passion and knowledge that will not be rivalled by his competitors.

And it is the same here too. The Liberal Democrats have a plan for south Wales. Whether that be the Swansea Tidal Lagoon - something I know you're all keen on - or more devolution for the Welsh Assembly, we have a real plan to empower the people of Wales.

And probably most importantly, you have a candidate here who will represent you with passion and distinction. It is not every day we get to vote for such a person, and we should grasp the opportunity.
