imnofox spoke to a group of young people in a park about climate change
"It's true, climate change really is a national emergency. Brexit is bad yes, but climate change will have lasting impacts on Scotland, on the United Kingdom, on Europe, and on the world. We've got to stack parliament full of people who take climate change seriously. The Libertarian Party barely believe it exists- and if they do, they think the market will somehow solve it on it's own. Well, that hasn't worked so far and it never will. We need government action, to steer the country towards a zero emissions future, where we work with the planet not against it."
"Our consumerist habits have done the planet a disservice. We use more resources than we could ever justify, and it's totally unsustainable. The waste we produce too, choking our oceans and the sea life that try to live in it- their home. And our emissions, of course, as we know are totally unsustainable. Rising sea levels and warming oceans are already affecting our coastlines but also the many creatures that try to live in the ocean. It's just unfair and unjust that we as a species are causing so much harm."
"We've got to stop the right wing nuts from growing stronger in our parliament, and we've got to put more MPs in parliament who actually understand and comprehend the scale of the reform that needs to take place if we want to survive as a species. We've got ourselves in to this mess, and we've got other species into this mess, and it's our duty to turn this ship around, put on the brakes, and do what's right for our planet. That, of course, means voting for /u/SoggyCabbages in this by-election."
