"Hello ladies and gentlemen. Today, I will be talking to you about the pertinent issue that is Brexit. Let's face it, it is the single most major issue facing Northern Ireland in the near future."

" It has long been Alliance and Liberal Democrat policy to support the UKs continued membership in the European Union. In recognising that Northern Ireland voted to remain in the EU, I stand by this policy in relation to our region."

"However, I do realise and accept that there is a strong chance we will be unable to halt Brexit. In the case that happens, there can be no hard border under any circumstances. To do so, would be a violation of what the GFA stands for."

"That is why I will use my voice at the table in Stormont to reiterate our full opposition to a hard border, and I will be submitting a motion upon resumption of the Assembly in relation to this matter."

"No party can claim to have had taken a bigger stand on Brexit than the Liberal Democrats, of which Alliance are a part of, and I tell voters that we will continue to fight on your behalf."
