Troe arrives at The Waterloo in Glasgow to meet with local LGBT constituents and have a pint with them while discussing topics close to their heart. Before going into the bar he gave a quick statement to the press.
"I am glad to be here outside the oldest gay bar in Glasgow, maybe even all of Scotland. I am proud to be a member of the LGBT community, and this is one of the many places where this community's history feels so present and lively. LGBT rights have come a long way in the United Kingdom and here in Scotland. We are rated third best by Rainbow Europe when it comes to equality and human rights for LGBT people. But we must not forget the past and how far we have moved, and how far we can still move. I will do my best to represent the LGBT community in Westminster in the upcoming term. We must never stop in our path to achieve a better tomorrow."
After the short statement to the press Troels spend more than two hours talking to visitors at the bar while consuming what might have been one too many beers for a politician.
