The Conservative Deputy Leader /u/UnexpectedHippo CB OM PC met with candidate for West London Sir /u/TheQuipton AL PC KOT at the Treaty Shopping Centre in Hounslow earlier this afternoon to speak to interested shoppers and activists.

“Good afternoon everyone! I hope you’re all well, and it’s great to see so many of you here today.

“I’m here today with my good friend TheQuipton to discuss how the Conservative Party will protect your earnings and enable you to keep more of your hard-earned cash. For me, being a Conservative has always been about fiscal responsibility. Whether it be tackling the enormous deficit left behind by the Labour Party in 2010, or more recently continuing our journey towards a prosperous Britain with the passing of the Autumn Budget of 2017, this party has always been one of financial responsibility.

“That is why this election, we have committed to no rise in income tax, and no rise in VAT over the next Parliament. We want to ensure that you keep the money you work so hard to earn, and not blow it on needless and costly vanity projects, like the Classical Liberals advocated.

“We’ve heard over this election how the Liberal Democrats plan to abolish VAT. It might be a very attractive policy, but they will leave a £120 billion black hole in the Budget. They will have two choices if they implement this policy: Run a large and damaging deficit, driving the country into the ground, or hike other taxes. It won’t be the rich who feel these new taxes, it will be the ordinary people like you who see more of their earnings taken away.

“The same is true of the whole left. We have seen their record. Tax, spend, then leave the Conservatives to deal with the mess. You can’t trust Labour to look after Britain’s finances, and we’ve seen the massive deficit left in recent years by socialist governments.

“The only party you can trust on the economy is the Conservative and Unionist Party, and the only way you can put the Conservatives in power is by voting for this man, my good friend TheQuipton!

“Thank you all very much, and remember: Vote Conservative tomorrow!”
