Unlock Britain campaigners /u/InfernoPlato and /u/UnexpectedHippo began a full day of campaigning in the Magna Carta pub, Lincoln. With a pint of locally brewed Bomber County in hand, /u/UnexpectedHippo told his constituents of the importance of parliamentary sovereignty. “We’re here in this fine establishment, named after the Magna Carta. Magna Carta was possibly the first example of the British people taking back their rights from the all-powerful leaders. Sadly, 800 years later there are those out there who are perfectly happy for decisions to be made for them by unelected bureaucrats. I suggest we put a stop to that by voting Leave, and unlocking ourselves from the shackles of the Single Market!”, spoke the MP for Lincolnshire to a gathered crowd who cheered as he finished his remarks. After drinking up, he and InfernoPlato boarded the passenger seats of two blue Tipple Tractors to nip across Lincoln to the next pub.
Arriving at the Revolution bar, the pair gathered around a couple of tables, and InfernoPlato spoke to the assorted revellers and press, holding a pint of Amstel. “It’s crucial that we leave the single market so not only can we get back our £790 million per year, but also so we can stand back and control both our laws and immigration. If we stay in, we have to abide by EU decisions on the single market - no matter how detrimental it is to our national interest. Not to mention, if we remain in, we have to keep our borders open with no control over who comes in - whether they be a net drag on the economy or not,” spoke Humberside MP InfernoPlato. After taking selfies and signing autographs for thrilled punters, the Leave campaigners took off in the Tipple Tractors to their next venue.
Arriving at the final pub, the Horse and Groom, the UnexpectedHippo and InfernoPlato stopped for their final pint. Toasting the Unlock Britain campaign, the group of campaigners made one last statement. “There’s only one way to Unlock Britain from the cage of the Single Market. And that way is to vote Leave on January 25th!” exclaimed UnexpectedHippo, to the cheers of his entourage. “Now, we’re both up very early on the campaign trail tomorrow, so I think it’s best we don’t have too many more of these,” joked Hippo, gesturing to his pint of beer, “but I’d like to thank you all for coming out today. Now cheers! To freedom from the Single Market!”.
