model-willem walked up a little stage that was put up in the centre of Dover, holding a Q&A session with the people who were interested in the British Alternative.
Willem: “There’s a microphone over there for anyone who has got any questions for our party and for me as the local candidate for Kent.”
Karen: “My name is Karen. I’ve got a very simple question for you. So, I have always been a Conservative voter, why on earth should I change my vote to the British Alternative?”
Willem: “It’s a simple question, but the answer is a bit more tough, hopefully I can convince you.”
Karen: “I hope so, otherwise I’ve wasted my time.”
Willem: “For the British Alternative it is very important that we create more freedom for people, freedom of choice and a safer country. We have seen several parties, including the Conservatives sadly, who have taken people’s freedom for granted, parties who have taken away freedom from people and increased the power of the state. We have seen Conservatives putting up more regulations on building houses, we have seen Solidarity and Labour nationalising more and more companies. They are taking away the freedom of people, and sadly the Conservatives are one of the parties who further participate in this exercise.”
Karen: “That’s not convincing.”
Willem: “Ok Karen.”
Sam: “We here in Dover are troubled by the number of immigrants that are trying to get here by boat. It is overwhelming and it’s putting a lot of unnecessary pressure on our city and the services that we have here. Several other parties are making promises but not delivering, how is British Alternative any different?”
Willem: “The amount of immigrants that are coming here is definitely worrying I very much agree with you on that issue, this means that the next Government should do something about it. The British Alternative is a party that will deliver on this, I am someone who has been an internationally tolerated minister for a while, as Foreign Secretary I have done discussions with the Iranian Government and with the US Government under Donald Trump, so having a conversation with the French is something that I can manage. We need to do something radical on immigration, this means a stop in the immigrants that are coming here and creating acceptance centres in the regions where people are coming from. This is something that we should do together with France and other European countries, others such as Denmark and the Netherlands are already looking at these solutions, so let’s work together with them to achieve this.”
Fatima: “We want to send our child to a school based on our Islamic faith, but that’s not possible right now, so can British Alternative help us achieve this?”
Willem: “The choice of where to send your child to school is something that’s one of the most important choices to be able to make as a parent. Currently this Government has blocked every opportunity for people to choose the school where their children are going to. We want to achieve this through more opportunities for schools to be something else than the one form that this Government wants it to be. We want people to be able to create their own school if they want to, based on ideas that they have, as long as they adhere to the basic principles of democracy and respect to all people.”
Sarah: “People like me don’t feel safe anymore walking around our streets, especially at night it is getting more and more unsafe to walk around by ourselves. What will you and your party do about this?”
Willem: “The idea of people feeling unsafe walking around their own city is something that I can not wrap my head around. It is something that no person in the United Kingdom should feel. Is it important for the British Alternative to invest in better police forces and especially more police forces available on the streets for people to ask a question when they have got something happening to them. Especially at night we need more police forces able to help people who feel unsafe. This is why British Alternative wants to invest more money into the police forces and into safety measures across England, but specifically in the regions with the higher crime rates."
Willem: "Thank you for asking your questions, hopefully we will see you soon, with me as your MP."
