After penning a newspaper article and going on safari, model-avtron decides to calm it down a little and go for a mocha (over ice, no sugar) and a pesto rocket parma ham toastie at a local café, The Hayloft in Great Sankey, in between Widnes and Warrington.
However, a group of people, the Warrington Association for Neighbourliness and Kindness, accosted Av. Amidst NIMBYism, they apparently had some good points, and Av talked to them about something that matters to them a lot: health.
Health. I know that we are all proud of our National Health Service; I know that just yesterday two nurses from Warrington Hospital won an award for their work with cancer parents, and I think that’s great. Solidarity loves our NHS – more than any other party. But we also recognise we need to improve it. Our first pillar of our plan for a healthier Britain is to establish a state owned pharmaceutical enterprise. This will give British patients the best medication available on the market – at a fair price. According to the University of York, NHS England spent £17.2 billion on medication. That’s too bloody much. Solidarity’s plan will lower that number, without compromising patient safety or wellbeing.
I’m sure you all know that smoking is bad for you; I’m sure it has been beaten into you by years of school. Even if you smoke, you probably know it’s bad for you. I hear that Aotearoa has implemented a gradual smoking ban based on your age. This is something we’d look at implementing here. Neither Solidarity nor, I am sure, yourselves want your children to smoke. We will look at legalising snus, to help ex-smokers recover and stop smoking.
I am sure you are all very busy, so I will leave it at that, but it’s clear Solidarity has a comprehensive health programme for government. Great Sankey, the choice is yours!
