Getting mixed messages about capturing vs hunting.

Hello all. When I Google whether to capture or hunt, it tells me that you should always capture in MH: Rise. (I've played 3 Ultimate and World so I know capping is usually better.)
However, ScottFalco here mentions that it's not good to default to capturing.
