Dual Screen issues on PC
Post Body

Hello,

I'm running the game on a 2 screens setup.

The game launches itself on the wrong monitor and resets my screen settings but only after I reboot my computer and only once each time I reboot it and until I change the settings in-game again.

If I launch the game after the reboot, it goes to the wrong monitor, goes back to 60fps 1080p (because my monitors use different resolution and framerate), and goes back to full screen instead of windowed/borderless.

The only way to change it is to change it again in game, then for the rest of the day, i can boot up the game as many time as i want, it will remember my settings. But as soon as i reboot the PC, it's gone.

So far I tried :

  • changing the config.ini file to read only -> the file doesn't get re-written anymore when I boot the game which is good, but the issue is still there, like the game doesn't even care about that file somehow

  • unchecking "read only" for every files and folders from the MHRise folder (which had some files checked with that apparently)

Any other ideas ?

Edit : The culprit is actually how the PC behaves when I turn off my monitor, still don't know how to fix that. When I turn off my monitor, Windows switches back to mono screen. The issue might lie as to how the game remember which monitor is which ? Is there a way for windows to "remember" there is a monitor there, and how does the game "sees" the monitor ? Is it a name ? An ID ? Does that thing change everytime it's unplugged ?
