Post Body

The question is that this motion do now pass. As many of that opinion say content, and to the contrary, not content.

Food and Rural Affairs Motion

This House Believes:

  • Rural communities are often subject to high levels of poverty

  • There has historically been a lack of rural proofing of new policies generated in Westminster

  • There is a growing resentment of the so called "Westminster Bubble" in rural communities

  • The food industry will face new challenges after the UK leaves the EU

  • The environment remains an important part of the portfolio of the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs

This House Urges the Government To:

  • Remember its responsibilities in regards to rural affairs and food

  • Ensure that the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, by default, references food and rural affairs when an abbreviation of their title is required

Submitted by The Right Honorable The Baron of the Blackmore Vale PC FRPS

This division ends on the 23rd April 2018.
