Food and Rural Affairs Motion
This House Believes:
Rural communities are often subject to high levels of poverty
There has historically been a lack of rural proofing of new policies generated in Westminster
There is a growing resentment of the so called "Westminster Bubble" in rural communities
The food industry will face new challenges after the UK leaves the EU
The environment remains an important part of the portfolio of the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
This House Urges the Government To:
Remember its responsibilities in regards to rural affairs and food
Ensure that the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, by default, references food and rural affairs when an abbreviation of their title is required
