Zimbabwe Democracy Enhancement Motion

This House recognises:

• That a bloodless coup occurred in Zimbabwe.
• That the ruling party maintains dominance in the state of Zimbabwe.
• The lack of democracy in Zimbabwe and the opportunity for real change in Zimbabwe for its population.
• The legacy of President Mugabe and the atrocities his Government committed that the new President is complicit in.

This House urges:

• The Zimbabwean Government to hold transparent and externally monitored and verified.
• All human rights atrocities cease immediately.

This House further urges the government to:

• Hold talks with the Zimbabwean Government in having fair and transparent elections at the soonest possible time.
• Assist the State of Zimbabwe with implementing the above provisions as much as they can.
