General Stuff

• My main aim is to ensure peers are kept up to date with what has been happening in mhol for the past week (as well as what to look ahead to) and have this as a sort of a reference point for checking things. I intend to keep this up every week (Sunday evening UK time).

As mentioned last sunday, the activity review will take place at the end of the month (tomorrow). (NOTE: The turnout quota will be set at 30%) and amendment votes that require you to vote on 2 or more amendments will count as one vote.

WP Applications are always open (be sure to modmail this sub r/mhol), the next set of Working Peers will be announced on the 1st February.

• The Afghanistan Support Motion results post - This motion did pass

Tuesday 25th January

• The Isles of Scilly Link Improvements Motion results post - Motion passed
• The Puppy Import (Prohibition) Bill went to a 2nd Reading/Amendment Submission debate

Wednesday 26th January

• The Support for Lithuania Motion went to debate
• Dukedom of York Bill went to an amendment reading
• The Green Belt Protection Bill went to a 2nd Reading/Amendment Submission debate
• The Accessible Taxis Bill results post - Bill passed (and as the bill originated here in the lords it will return back to other place for consideration)
• Sexual Health in Further and Higher Education Bill results post - passed along with amendment so will return to the other place
• The formation of a lords committee - (On the Russia - Ukraine crisis) Peers can request to join the committee in the thread linked

Thursday 27th January

• The Misuse of Fireworks Bill went to a 2nd Reading/Amendment Submission debate
• The Protected Sovereign States and Territories Bill went to an amendment reading
• Results post for the House of Lords Reaffirmation Motion - Motion did pass

Friday 28th January

• The Illegal Immigration Offences BIll went to a 2nd Reading/Amendment Submission debate

Saturday 29th January

• The Academies (Legalisation) Repeal Bill went to a 2nd Reading/Amendment Submission debate
• The Channel 4 Privatisation (Repeal) Bill results post - Achieved Royal Assent

Sunday 30th January

• The Investor-State Dispute Settlement Mechanism (Authorisation) Bill went to 2nd Reading/Amendment Submission debate
