My Lords,

I have to acquaint the House that His Majesty was pleased this afternoon to make a most gracious Speech from the Throne to both Houses of Parliament assembled in the House of Lords. Copies of the gracious Speech are available in the Printed Paper Office. I have, for the convenience of the House, arranged for the terms of the gracious Speech to be published in the Official Report.

To debate His Majesty's Speech from the Throne, The Earl of Silverstone, has moved:

That an Humble Address be presented to His Majesty as follows:

“Most Gracious Sovereign—

We, Your Majesty’s most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Lords in Parliament assembled, beg leave to thank Your Majesty for the most gracious Speech which Your Majesty has addressed to both Houses of Parliament”.

Debate on the Speech from the Throne may now be done under this motion, and shall conclude on Sunday 30th of April at 10PM BST.
