Hello. This is my first Votes in Review since taking the reins from /u/KarlYonedaStan. In a term with parliamentary demographics as fractured as this, it’s nice to be able to develop a sense of how votes are falling in both the House of Commons and House of Lords. In the words of my predecessor who developed these pieces, it is useful in holding MPs and Lords accountable to some degree of consistency.

House of Commons

LB234: The Criminal Juries (Majority Verdicts) (Amendment) Bill was proposed by The Lord Sigur of Appledore on behalf of Coalition! and was co-sponsored by both the Liberal Democrats and the Freedom and Liberty Party’s Xvillan. It passed 93-23-23 with 11 MPs not voting. Those supporting the bill included all C! and Liberal Democrat MPs who voted, along with the NIIP, FLP, and one Conservative MP - as well as 10 Labour MPs, 7 Solidarity MPs and The Independent Group.

Opposition to the bill came from a large majority of the Conservative Party, as well as the Shadow Foreign Secretary. Abstentions came from a Conservative MP, 6 Solidarity MPs and 1 Labour MP. Parties with members that did not vote came from Coalition!, the Liberal Democrats and Labour.

B1364: The Visegrad-UK Cooperation Bill was proposed by SpecificDear901 on behalf of The Independent Group and was overwhelmingly defeated 7-120-16 with 7 MPs not voting. MPs supporting the bill included the 1 Independent Group MP and 1 Liberal Democrat backbencher along with two members from the Labour Party.

The Noes came from all Coalition! and Solidarity MPs that voted, as well as the overwhelming majority of the Conservatives, Liberal Democrats and many Labour MPs. Those abstaining included the proposer of the bill, sitting in the Conservatives, a Liberal Democrat cabinet member and 5 Labour MPs.

B1357: The Lettings and Rental Fees Bill was submitted by the Official Opposition and passed 72-70-3 with 5 MPs not voting. Those voting Aye came from all opposition members that voted as well as a Liberal Democrat backbencher. Votes for “No” came from all Coalition! and Conservative MPs that voted, along with the vast majority of Liberal Democrats and the FLPs MP. The NIIP abstained, along with the Liberal Democrat Attorney General for England and Wales.

B1336: The Street Votes Bill passed 103-28-0, with 19 MPs not voting. All Coalition!, Liberal Democrat, NIIP, Solidarity and Labour MPs that voted supported the bill - with opposition from the Conservatives, the FLP and TIG.

B1358: The Policing Reform Bill passed 77-64-1 with 8 MPs not voting. Votes in favour came from all Government MPs apart from 1 Conservative abstention, and a Labour MP - with votes against coming from the rest of opposition MPs that voted.

B1359: The Ferry Services Nationalisation Bill was submitted by The Independent Group and Solidarity, and was defeated 63-73-0 with 14 MPs not voting. Votes in favour came from all opposition MPs that voted, and votes against came from all government MPs that voted.

M668: The Cabin Air (Commencement) Motion passed 126-0-0 with 24 MPs not voting. Not much to say about this one really.

B1361: The Prohibition of the Patentability of Seeds and Organisms (England) Bill submitted by the Official Opposition passed 66-62-5 with 17 MPs not voting. Votes fell largely across party lines with the exception of abstentions from a Liberal Democrat and NIIP MP.

B1368: The British Youth Council Nationalisation Act (Repeal) Bill proposed by Coalition! was defeated 63-83-0 with 4 MPs not voting. The NIIP and the FLP, as well as NeatSaucer and 2 Liberal Democrat backbenchers joined the Opposition in voting against the bill.

B1363: The Samaritans Bill was proposed by the former Chancellor of the Exchequer Rea-wakey and fell 70-71-0 with 9 MPs all voting. The vote was largely across party lines with the exception of a Labour MP, however the bill fell as a result of 9 Liberal Democrat MPs not voting.

M: There's a lot of divisions to catch up on so I'm doing this in stages as it's easier.
