From January 8th to January 10th 2022, members of the Progressive Workers' Party voted on a proposed deal for the Party to merge with the Labour Party.
It is the duty of the Presidium to announce that this has passed and will take effect immediately.
The Progressive Workers' Party is hereby dissolved and merged into the Labour Party.
We would like to thank everyone who has made the last 21 months some of the best and helped forge a party that has made us all friends.
We would like to that the founders of the Party who set out boldly to form a party that broke ground and changed the landscape of Westminster, Cardiff, Holyrood and Stormont. These being: u/TheOWOTrongle, u/SomeBritishDude26, u/Model-Eddy and u/GrenGnat
We would also like to thank u/Plebit2020 for being a key member in the early days of the party and being a close advisor for many months afterwards.
We would like to thank u/LightningMinion for his service to the party, becoming the first member to be elected as MP to a constituency.
We would like to thank u/KalvinLokan for joining the party after the merger with the Syndicalist and Trade Union Party and being an invaluable asset to the Party ever since.
We would like to thank u/Muffin5136 for being an active member and taking on way more than any of us thought he would.
We would also like to thank the following members and former members for their service to the party as candidates and Members of Parliament.
This is where we sign off. The Progressives may be no more, but let the Progressive dream never die.
God bless. Godspeed. Live long and prosper. May the Force be with you. So long. Farewell. Auf Wiedersehen.
Goodbye.
The Presidium of the Progressive Workers' Party
