Greetings everyone.

It was with regrets that I accepted the resignation of /u/Kyle_phoenix this afternoon. Thank you Kyle, you have served the party well and can be proud of all the hard work you put in.

When I began searching for a replacement, everyone I asked told me the same thing: /u/Phyrik2222 is the man for the job. Despite being relatively new to the political scene, he has very quickly proven his merit and deep knowledge of Northern Ireland, and I have faith in him to lead the UUP forwards on whichever new path it may find itself in its goal to once again become the leading Unionist party in Stormont.

I hereby appoint Phyrik as Leader of the UUP, the best of luck to you!

Firstly I want to address the recent resignation of our former leader, Kyle. It is incredibly saddening to see Kyle resign as the leader of the Ulster Unionists. He has been an amazing leader for the party and has worked insanely hard to get the party active and to where it is today. To Kyle I say thank you.

I am honoured to be taking up the role as the leader of the UUP, and I thank The Conservative Party for choosing me to be the one to do it. Despite being relatively new to the sim, I am confident in being able to lead the UUP to success, and I am incredibly grateful to be given this chance to prove myself to Stormont and the wider MHoC community alike. I believe the UUP can continue to grow and become a great party in Northern Ireland. I hope to implement most if not all of the plans outlined in our July manifesto and to continue the amazing work being done by our members as official opposition in the Assembly, although I will aim to get the UUP into the Executive in the next election. The UUP will continue to be the number one choice for Unionists in Northern Ireland that care about maintaining our place in the United Kingdom and the furthering of Northern Ireland as a whole with a newer, more modern approach going into the future. We will continue to propose bills to make sure Northern Ireland is a place that works for everyone, and we will of course make sure we are present in Stormont and answer any and all questions addressed to us.
