I would like to thank the voters of Cambridgeshire for putting their trust in me to represent them at Westminster and for voting to give Cambridgeshire a progressive voice. I would also like to thank the volunteers who campaigned for me and my fellow party members who joined me on the campaign trail - without you, my victory wouldn't have been possible and I am very grateful for your hard work. And to those who didn't vote for me, I pledge to be your representative too at Westminster.
Tonight has been a great night for the Progressive Worker's Party. Despite being a relative newcomer to politics, our vision of a Progressive future is resonating with voters all across the UK, with us gaining 5 seats in this election and more than trebling our number of seats.
Regardless of what government is formed, I will continue to fight for the promises I made on the campaign trail, such as ambitious action against the climate crisis; a fairer deal for our small businesses; a better transport system; social, economic and environmental justice; and a fairer and more equal United Kingdom.
