We at the Independent Group were very glad to receive a variety of political candidates pledging to uphold our clean campaign pledge. However with the merger of SATUP and the PPUK it has become clear that the groundwork does yet not exist for a large scale slate of purely independent candidates.

We are a group that recognises that incremental change is better than no change at all. Therefore we are now opening our endorsement scheme to all candidates (including those running for political parties, rather than as independents) who will pledge to abide by our clean campaign pledge, which is;

“In this election, I will set a positive example for kinder, gentler politics. I will do this by refraining from engaging in any personal political attacks, and by ensuring that the theme of my campaign is positive, rather than negative.”

Any person who intends to stand in the upcoming election, signs this pledge in the comments and makes their seat of choice known to us in private will be eligible for endorsement, regardless of their political positions or alignment.

In the case of multiple candidates under this scheme standing in the same seat, endorsements will ordinarily be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

In addition, we continue to endorse Archism, LeChevalierMalFait and the former SATUP candidates who pledged to follow the clean campaign pledge in the first part of this scheme.
