model-willem steps out of CCHQ where a few press officials have gathered

Moments ago, I have tendered my resignation as Leader of the Conservative and Unionist Party. As much as I have loved this job and being Leader of the Opposition, I can't do this job the way I want to execute it, therefore it's better for me to step aside and let someone else takeover. I am aware that this is close to the election date and for that I am sorry that the rest of the Conservative Party has got to go through without me.

When I stepped to the plate as Leader of the Conservatives, we saw our beloved Leader Sephronar go on a sabbatical, after a stunning election victory. Sadly we weren't able to go into Government, but we took up the job to hold the Government to account, something that I still feel like we've done an amazing job at. With the election nearing I believe that the country can make a choice again, a choice for a true centre-right party that puts the ideals of the people first, instead of this socialist Government.

The newly elected Deputy Leader, Sir-Iceman will take over as Interim Leader and I am comfortable knowing that he'll be supported by great people, such as BasedChurchill and meneerduif as Deputy Leader and Chairman. I want to thank every single MP and Member of the Conservative Party for a great run and a great term. Thank you.
