The Queen has been graciously pleased to signify Her intention of conferring Honours.

Royal Victorian Order

KCVO

Geordie, /u/VerkhovnaGeordie Earl of ASHINGTON, GBE, CT, CVO. For service to the Lord Speaker and the Speakership at large.

Our first honouree is a long time member of MHOC, and someone that has served the House of Lords well, as both a junior and senior DLS. For his long time service in the Speakership, and as Chairman of Committees in the House of Lords, we award Geordie an upgrade in the Royal Victorian Order, to Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.

Order of Timanfya

R-f, /u/really-friends, Earl of WIMBLEDON, OM, GCMG, KBE, MVO. For services to the Speaker, the Speakership at large and the Discord management. Given as the Head Mod award. (see below)

CT

Sir Dylan (/u/Estoban06), KP, KBE. For services to the running of Stormont and to the Devolved Speaker.

This long time member of the Stormont speakership, and active in Northern Ireland and national politics, has been with the Speakership for quite some time. He’s also been an integral part of the Brexit negotiation process, and for several events after the initial deal, as the devolved speaker’s main source of Irish knowledge and the roleplayer for the Irish government in almost all cases. For his services to represent Ireland, and ro the Devolved Speakership in general, we award him a CT.

/u/pjr10th MVO, MBE. For services to the Speakership. Given as the Quadrumvirate award. (See below)

Baron Al (/u/alajv3) of USK KT. For services to the community and the model world at large.

Without reservation, Al has been a valuable member of the speakership team. He’s been a long time, and upstanding, member of MHOC, splitting time between it, his press commitments, and being head mod of his beloved /r/iksdagen (aka model Sweden). He’s always been supportive of the speakership, and has always been there to lend a hand (or an ear) when we needed it. For that, and many other reasons, we hereby award him a CT. He deserves it. “Give Al an AL” indeed.

/u/friedmanite19, CBE. For being a long time party leader of a major party and for a long time commitment to the community.

Fried has been a long time member of MHoC. I can hardly remember a time before he joined, and he’s been a leader of LPUK for waaaay too long. He helped build the party up to what it is today and he was there before it even became a party at all. He’s certainly done a lot for this community, and now he’s even part of the speakership. We hope he’s staying around for a long time to come, and thus award him a CT for his commitment to this community.

Sir /u/WillShakespeare99, KT, CB. For being a long time member of the community and long time leader of a major party.

Will is someone who has been here for quite a long time. I’ve known him for quite a long time, and have always enjoyed his company. From his commitment to the press, to his leading of Labour through tough times, and even heading up the Official Opposition, he’s been a major part of this community for several years. Certainly he is a shining example of someone who cares deeply for this community. Leading a party is hard enough, never mind for so long, and doing so while also heading up the opposition. And trying to do press too. For that, his commitment to MHoC, and his willingness to be open to every new member who walks in, we award him a CT.

Quadrumvirate Award

The award from the collective quadrumvirate which includes the CT, but is also a little extra special since this person was deemed especially worthy of a CT over the last half year (since Christmas) goes to /u/pjr10th.

This is a biggie. For years, the Quad has been looking for someone to code a system that eliminates the need to manually count divisions. PJR has provided us such a system, and made it far easier to do the job of a deputy speaker than previously. The bargain always went that we would give a CT to whoever could manage to create a bot, and so we will uphold that part of the bargin, and give PJR a CT. Of course, not only is he a great coder , but also an excellent deputy Commons speaker. We can only hope that he will serve well as Chair of Ways and Means, and present him the Quadrumvirate Award in recognition of his contributions.

The Order of Timanfya Award

The Order of Timanfya Award which is given by the Head Mod only is hereby awarded (together with a KCT) to r-f, really-friends, gotnorealfriends etc. etc.

A valued team member recently left his position as Chairman of Ways and Means in the Commons speakership, as well as his overall post as a Deputy Speaker in the Commons. He’s provided hard work, and months of dedication, and we’re quite sad to see him go - even if it is for good reasons. For his service to the speakership, we declare him a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order. He also receives the Head Mod award in recognition of his services to the MHOC Community and Head Mod. R-f came in as a deputy speaker when we were in a bit of a mess, and has always since then helped to try to tidy things up and improve the place - which is valued immensely.
