QUANGO Review Motion
This house recognises that:
There are currently over 100 Quasi Autonomous Non Governmental Organisations (QUANGOs).
That billions of pounds are spent on these QUANGOs.
That government spending has drastically increased since the last Public Bodies Reform Proposal.
This house urges the government to:
- Appoint a Cross-Party Joint Committee to review the current list of QUANGOs and see if any QUANGOs can be abolished, privatised, or if the committee deems appropriate, suggest that new QUANGOs be established.
Note: The Current List of QUANGOs can be found here.
This motion was written by /u/_PTP_ and submitted by /u/AlmightyWibble on his behalf.
The voting period for this motion will end at 10PM BST on the 17th of December.
Vote Aye, No or Abstain. Comments with anything else will be deleted. Comments that are edited will be void and not counted.
If a member is voting by proxy, they must have gained permission from the speaker prior to this vote. If no permission was sought and granted, their vote will not be counted.
