Stable And Temporary Government Motion

This House recognises:

• That currently no coalition of Honourable and Right Honourable Members of this House has a majority to form a Government.

• Many successive coalitions may continue to fail to put forward a popular program for Government.

• The need for stable Government during this tumultuous time, following the European Union Referendum.

This House calls upon Her Majesty to:

• Form a Government composed of Ministers of merit, to fill the offices of the Government before the most recent General Election.

• Ensure that any appointments do not unfairly over-represent or under-represent any party, faction, grouping, or ideological school of thought.

• Ensure this government does not make major policy decisions which would not enjoy universal support.

• Dissolve this government once a coalition of Honourable and Right Honourable Members of this House has a majority to form a Government.
