Recognizing Internal Threats (Radical Islam) Motion

A motion to promote the creation of a public awareness campaign to provide information and assistance about tactics used by radical Islamic terrorists, particularly recruitment.

The House recognizes that:

• Acts of radical Islamic terrorism (performed in the name of terrorist organizations who have affiliated themselves with Islam) have performed at a growing rate over the past few years.

• Recruits to such organizations are radicalized due to, in part, a false portrayal of information by terrorist organization recruiters.

• Radical Islamic terrorism poses a serious threat to the safety of our communities at home and abroad.

• Not all followers of Islam can be considered radical or willing to commit terrorist acts.

The House urges:

• The Secretary of State for the Home Department to create an awareness campaign to combat Islamic radicalization within the nation.

• The Chancellor of the Exchequer to make any necessary funding available for the campaign.

• The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government to reach out to the Muslim communities and spread awareness in conjunction with the campaign regarding Islamic radicalization.

This motion was written by The Right Hon. Baron of Scruton , on behalf of the Nationalist Party. It is supported by the Crown Nationalist Party, the Hon. /u/tyroncs , MP and the Hon. /u/alexwagbo , MP.
