Evening everyone,
I'm sure everyone will join me in wishing /u/DF44 all the best and thanking him for his outstanding service as Commons speaker these last few months. He has been a pleasure to work with, extremely dedicated and will be a very hard act to follow indeed.
However all things must go on and so nominations for the position of Commons Speaker are now open, and will remain open until the 15th of May 2018 at 10PM.
Timetable:
Nominations open - 13th of May
Nominations close - 15th of May
Q&A opens - 17th of May
Q&A ends - 19th of May
Voting begins - 20th of May
Voting closes - 23rd of May
Results - 24th of May
So if you wish to stand for the position of Commons Speaker, make a post on this thread and send me your manifesto by the nominations closing time of 10PM on the 15th of May.
If you don't submit a manifesto then you won't proceed to the next stage.
Also a reminder I will be vetting potential nominees thoroughly prior to the them proceeding to the Q&A stage, hence the slight delay between nominations closing and the Q&A opening to account for that.
