Primary Teaching Staff Motion
This House Recognises:
(1)Primary School education is essential and crucial in a child's progress in life and that extra funding should be available for recruiting teachers and building new schools
(2)Over recent times the lack of funding and teacher shortages in our Primary Schools has caused overcrowding in the classroom, which negatively affect children’s education and measures should be in place so any child can learn without too much disruption
This House Urges:
(1)That the Government put a cap on class sizes in all Primary School Classes from Nursery to Year 6 of 30, which would mean no more than 26 children would be allowed to be taught by one teacher
(2)The Government to increase their spending in Primary Schools in the upcoming budget
(3)That the Government run a public campaign and find initiatives to help recruit more people into the teaching profession
This Bill was submitted by /u/lovey35 MP on behalf of the Labour Party
This reading shall end on the 15th June 2016.
