A new hero/heroine appeared and needs a weapon

I have played every monster hunter since the ps2 and rarely have I deviated from sns (freedom unite 2 longsword) and (switch axe/ heavy bowgun mh3u)...so I hereby am asking the community for a weapon to lead all the way through to g rank and I will chronicle the journey for fun or weirdness if people would like.
Tried to make a poll question not enough spaces lol, so I guess top up voted weapon on the 20th and will run another poll question for the style
