The first monster hunter Ive played was MH4U. Thats where I learned "how to play" monster hunter, by using the charge blade. But on that game, once I touched the lance, I never used any other weapon. Lance was what made me play for hours on MH4U. Then the next MH I played was World, up to Iceborne. And just like before, lance was my main weapon. From world to Iceborne, up until the very end. I was in love with the Lance. Then I stopped playing years ago. Now I wanted to play some Monster Hunter again and picked up MHGU. I wanted to play lance so bad. Striker lance was the popular choice, because the three stabs are still there. But I just cant play this weapon anymore. Transitioning from iceborne to GU using lance is a nightmare. I was too mobile in iceborne, i have too many tools and moves at my disposal. I feel like I cant really play the lance anymore other than the lance in iceborne. I dont have any problem with the other weapons in GU tho, im doing good in SnS, Hunting Horn, GS, Bow. Its just really the lance. It feels so clunky. I tried watching gameplays on youtube, some speedruns, but still, I cant play the weapon. I really want to play the lance again, that weapon was the reason why I loved hunting huge monsters. What should I be doing? Any tips?
