SU carbs idling super high after initial rev

My uncle has got a 75(I believe) mgB anniversary edition, and has got an issue with it idling like a monster. Starts and runs right, but then he revs it and it just stays super high on the throttle. Anybody got any advice? I am I'll informed on these. Just trying to help him out.
Edit: one issue at least has been figured out. Vacuum leak around throttle plate bushings.
