For those who were once vanilla, how did you start doing MFM? Any tips

So I'm a 26m with a longterm girlfriend I'll probably end up marrying. A MFM has long been a major fantasy of mine, especially since realizing and accepting I'm bicurious. I'd love to get to the point where we are ready to have sex with another man, but at the moment it's not realistic or the right time. We did some sex/kink/fantasy questionnaires and while I put YES for group, MFM, and couple play, she did not because she's not sure she could handle it right now. I respect that!
