Danzig Game
Post Body

I just started a Danzig game and am looking for optimal/enjoyable play suggestions.

What I've done so far:

  • Gained Independence from Teutonic, via Poland support; and taken most, but not all of their costal holdings.
  • Pissed off Poland mid Independence war by not agreeing to join them against Bohemia.

My various ideas for future:

  • Play tall and form Prussia (is this possible to tag switch to?)
  • Something in the middle between tall and wide involving controlling a proportional combination of Poland, Russia, and Sweden.
  • Expanding all the way to Constantinople, all the way to Moscow, and all the way to Vienna, while controlling the entire Baltic trade area.

Any suggestions? Anyone familiar with my tag switch options, or have played a Danzig game before? Could I theoretically reform Poland after I kill them? That could be interesting. Anyway thanks for any ideas or opinions.

Edit: thought of two other factors 1) I'm currently a republic, but if I can/do switch to Prussia I'll become a monarchy. 2) I could theoretically go the HRE route if I wanted to, didn't consider the option until now.

E2: For anyone who comes across this in the future. You can, so far, tag switch to Prussia. But it requires to first switch to Teutonic via mission, then to Prussia via decision. A tad confusing first go around. This also updates capital location, so if you were like me and considered moving it relatively early, don't. Wait until you are forced to move it before spending admin on it.
