I received an email from Mega saying that my password had just been changed. To be safe, I didn't click on the link and instead just opened the app on my phone and tried to login. Like they said, the password was changed. I tried to reset it, but when I put my email it said that this address wasn't associated with any account, whereas it's the very address to which they sent the password reset notification. Now, I don't care at all about my MEGA account because I had not imported any files on it. I mainly use it for downloading, and I just need to create a new one.
What I want to know is whether my email account is compromised too, or if it is possible to change the password just by knowing the old password (I didn't activate 2FA).
Thank you.
