As the title suggests, this is a build centered around the claymore.
Weapons
The Claymore is capable of one shotting most mooks (all if you headshot) and has an absolutely absurd effective range considering that it's a high damage shotgun. It remains reasonably effective (1-3 shotting mooks) pretty much as far as you are ever going to want to shoot.
The trick to using it most effectively is to not ADS, and try to aim at the head if you're close-mid range and just aim at center mass at mid-long ranges. On console, you can use powers to reload cancel (preferably while they're on cooldown) and on PC, I think most people use the medi-gel button to reload cancel.
I actually like to carry a second, heavy weapon on this class just to make that incinerate cooldown longer. However, if you know you're going to be fighting cerberus you may want to skip the extra weight (I do).
Attachments - there is literally no reason to use anything other than the smart choke and the High velocity barrel on this build if your claymore is above level 4. Smart choke is compulsory, it makes the spread MUCH tighter. If you have a very low level claymore and you're having ammo trouble, either bring a second weapon or you could switch out the HVB for the ammo attachment (not recommended)
Powers
Incinerate - We're basically using this to reload cancel, we don't want to put any more than one point into this as that'll decrease it's cooldown. Claymore>Incinerate. Alternatively, you could remove points in submission net and max incinerate if you want to detonate your ammo on bosses but in my experience it's better to be shooting as often as possible.
We're maxing this out so that we can fully cheese bosses. Incinerate and incendiary ammo stack weirdly, resulting in massive damage. This doesn't really affect much when it comes to mooks but it will dramatically speed up how fast you kill bosses. Start out against them by firing off an incinerate before unleashing hell with the claymore. When I tested this against reapers I found that the minimum number of shots to kill ravagers and brutes reduced from 2-1 and 3-1 respectively.
Submission net - I don't really use this often, It's mostly for trying to lock down phantoms and nemesis' if they're moving about too much. Follow up with a claymore shot to the face.
Bloodlust - This is what makes this build different from other claymore-toting characters. Spec this for durability and weapon damage and, once you've built your stacks up, you can essentially run about without worrying too much about dying and unleash your claymore-fueled wrath on the enemy.
Passive - Spec for weapon damage as we like damage.
Fitness - More health is good.
Equipment
Gear - we want the geth scanner, no exeptions. This allows us to spot enemies faster and track them through walls for the limited wallhax that our piercing mod allows.
If you don't have it or it's below level 2, consider using something else, extra ammo is always good.
Ammo - Incendiary is my favourite but Armour piercing is also good. I tend to have more incendiary ammo than AP though so I very rarely use the AP on this class.
Weapon - Rail amp 3 if you have it, targeting VI 3 if you don't. Damage is good.
Armour - I use adrenaline 3 as speed directly translates into survivability and it allow you seek out targets quicker. Don't waste your cyclonics on this class, you don't need the capacity and it adds very little due to our vorcha's low base shields. Shield capacitor might prove useful if you're dying but really, if you're constantly moving, nothing should be able to out-damage your health regen.
Playstyle
TL;DR: Run about and shoot stuff in the face with the Claymore.
Your basic damage cycle should be Shoot-Incinerate-Shoot-reload cancel-shoot-etc. The claymore can shoot roughly once every 2 seconds if you time everything right and each one of those shots should be killing a mook. The beauty of the claymore is that you can adopt two playstyles. You can either run about killing mooks untill the end of the wave or you can do this, but kill every boss you see as well. Personally, I tend to ignore banshees and primes for as long as I can but will kill anything else I come across. Just remember to open with an incinerate against bosses.
We want to be constantly moving, if you're taking on a group of mooks or a boss, strafe in little circles, you take less damage when you do this. Use your geth scanner to seek out enemies and remember that you have some piercing capability. The best way to kill a phantom without submission net is head-shotting it when it's in cover.
Honestly, all you REALLY need for this to be effective is maxed bloodlust and one point in incinerate for reload cancelling. I've personally played gold at level 8 and topped the team with around 130k points and platinum at level 12, also topping the team with around 220k points.
