The question of neurotoxicity

Post Body

This article is really interesting. It explains how MDMA became a Schedule 1 drug on the back of some really dodgy and weighted evidence.

Such as giving rats 5 times the amount of MDMA per kg than humans would dose on. Dosing up monkeys constantly for four days straight. Injecting, sometimes directly into the brain, which makes the intensity much higher. I mean, imagine injecting 600mg directly into your brain!

The government basically have this one guy doing all the MDMA research and he gets funded, seemingly, because he's prepared to go to any lengths to produce the results the government want him too. Though even when the judge reviewing the case said there was no evidence of toxicity, they ignored him and made it Schedule 1 anyway.

The article suggests it might be safe to take every 7 days, as opposed to once every three months, as long as you're not overdoing it and ramming 10 pills each time.

And that does tie in with my personal experience after several years of weekly use in my twenties.

Any thoughts on the article?
