Are all scales like this?
Post Body

I’ve bought a brand new mg scale from reagent kit uk (Precision laboratory scales (TL Series TL-20)

I’ve not damaged the scale or banged the box around or anything just had it stashed away until now but it seems to be malfunctioning?

The 20g calibration weight sometimes changes between 20g and 19.999g and once or twice it read a little over 20g (even after multiple recalibrations)

I’ve ‘weighed out 140mg’ but the scale keeps on changing the number slightly between 131 mg up to 143mg, it will keep on changing every couple of seconds until the scale turns its self off

Same thing happened when weighing out a re dose of 70mg but surprisingly the range on that only fluctuates between 68mg and 72mg

My question is, is this something to be concerned with? it’s probably not such a big deal since the discrepancies aren’t too extreme but Its kinda making me question how close to 140mg my dose actually is
