So I've been going to the psychiatrist for a while because of some issues I've had since the start of the year, I was depressed for a while and the first time I went there they tried to give me antidepressants but I declined cuz I've tried a lot of drugs and I kinda went in there with the intention to get Pregabalin because I did it recreationally at small doses and realized it literally solved all my problems. I honestly would love to have it for as long as possible. My last visit to the psych I did finally get my dose increased, but also a new antidepressant on top, I would have declined if I knew, but I didn't complain in case it was some random fun thing I didn't know existed where I live. The reason I was perscribed it is because I can't sleep enough due to early morning shifts (4am start) and the fact that I'm so exhausted from that that I only really have motivation for my job and making music cuz I love doing it, anything that makes me even slightly uncomfortable I just can't do and I started getting eye and head pain too. I know more Pregabalin would solve the issue and be easier for my body to handle than a bit of that and a high dose of duloxetine, but I can't just walk in and ask for drugs. The reason I write this here is because even tho I'm generally not a fan of these kinds of antidepressants (never tried them, but don't want to) one HUGE reason I don't want to take duloxetine is because I heard in the past that Zoloft made someone lose the MDMA magic, not while being on it, but for life just because they had one period in their life where they used Zoloft. I've also heard more bad stories about mostly Zoloft cuz it's the most common here, but that's an SSRI. Duloxetine is an SNRI, so if it works on both serotonin and norepinephrine shouldn't it have even more side effects and have an even greater chance of ruining M for me? I consider taking duloxetine just to help me through this rough period while I'm working awful shifts and still trying to finish uni, that would be about a month, a bit less even, but I imagine I will have to taper off this. Has anyone here ever been on duloxetine and came back to M after getting off it, are the rolls less intense or the same as before? Bonus question if someone knows, is it safe to smoke weed when on duloxetine?
TL;DR: Can taking duloxetine for a period take away the MDMA magic(or some of it) from me for life?
