According to this article, a man murdered his girlfriend followed by an erratic attempt at reviving her. All of this supposedly while high on MDMA and cannabis.
Given the nature of the drugs, something about this doesn't seem right. Has anyone heard of any similar stories that involve MDMA?

I'm sorry for your loss. That definitely exemplifies some of the most tragic of outcomes. It also makes me appreciate this sub all the more for sharing proper harm reduction. Because of this, I've been able to prevent friends on SSRI/SNRI meds from taking MDMA while on said medication.

Yeah, that's why I think they used quotes instead of verifying that he was tested for the substances. It's a shame because this probably gives both drugs a negative reputation.
