Hey all,

My friend is going to a techno-rave near the end of august, he’s been taking 7,5 mg of mirtazapine daily since he has intrusive thoughts while trying to sleep. He’s been using them for two to three months now.

I advised him to just not take any ecstasy while on anti-depressants, but he’s a bit bummed out about it since he was really looking forward to rolling on his very first techno-rave.

So my question is, if he wants to roll on the 26th of august, if there is a safe way he could do so? I believe you can’t just cold-turkey stop anti-depressants, but perhaps he could scale down his use leading up to the rave and increase it again after?

I have no experience with this combination at all, so I was hoping the people here could shed some light on it.

To emphasise, he’s fine not taking anything at all. I’m just not in a position to advise him properly on this, and thought to ask here.
