Addressing clinical depression in someone who wants to roll
Post Body

I have lifelong depression. It's thought that I have naturally low levels of serotonin and dopamine. I have been on prozac off and on my entire life. Most recently I was on 40mg for 7 or so years.

I can't stand the side effects. I can't stand the emotional blunting and exhaustion that's a side effect of all SSRIs.

I'm now off prozac, but still want to treat my low level neurotransmitters.

This means supplementing. I've looked into:

Sam-e St. John's Wort Saffron 5-htp L-dopa from mucuna and several others.

The only information I can find on supplements is in regard to pre-loading and post-loading which isn't what I'm looking for.

I'm trying to determine the best supplement/s to take regularly to boost my levels, that would allow me to roll maybe twice a year at most.

Obviously I don't want to be taking my supplements, then take my mdma and end up with serotonin syndrome.

With prozac, there was no risk of serotonin syndrome, I simply could not roll due to the ssri not allowing the release of serotonin.

Does anyone have any knowledge on this? Thanks so much
