Now bear with me a sec. Just read a story about Amadeus Cho calculating the force and trajectory required to take out a tank with a pebble. His IQ is reported to be the 7th highest for a human. Watching and reading Captain America bouncing his shield around, and forgiving the Spiderman observation that the shield doesn't obey the laws of physics, how fast (if fast is the right word) would cap have to think to be able to accurately throw the shield and have it land where he needs it to in order to catch it. Things I'm aware of: Cap IS augmented and his ability to assess a situation almost instantly is known. His shield can have a range of devices attached (as in the mag-lock in Ultron) but I haven't seen it with any smart tech or homing tech. That when cap throws the shield that it bounces off a variety of density materials (a tree will bounce different to a wall, will bounce different to a flesh bag). Instinct is a thing and he may not do the equations consciously like Cho. MCU and Comics are different Edit: just saw that in Ultron the mag-lock DOES have return-to-home ability
