YES, IT IS!

I’m a 3rd-year medical student in Russia.

Every coin has two sides. Same way, every course,city or country has two sides.

But you should not fear and grab this opportunity as while doing MBBS from Russia, you will also gain lots of knowledge in other fields.

Not only studies but you will be all rounder managing everything alone.

Let me list you here all possibile aspects, advantages-disadvantages,pros-cons,etc.

I’m sure at the end of my answer you will have a positive aspect about MBBS in Russia.

LOW FEE STRUCTURE - In Russia, you can complete your whole MBBS course in 22lakhs to 30lakhs. This includes your tuition fees, hostel fees, medical insurance, etc. It may vary little if you decide to stay in an apartment. Still, it is affordable than many private or deemed universities in India.

1. FULLY ENGLISH COURSE - In Russia, most of the universities are bilingual but there are really some good universities that teach you in full english course.

Even then you need to know Russian language well if you have to gain good clinical knowledge. You will have to interact with local patients and for that you need to learn Russian language well.

You should research your best while selecting a university.

1. INTERNATIONAL STUDY - This is one of the best advantages of studying in a foreign country. We are taught in terms of International students and not local ones.

Good thing about this is that, whichever country we will go for further studies we can easily adapt their form of practicing.

Also, Russia is the largest country in the world. So, you can imagine how well you can experience it and be beneficial.

1. HOSPITALS - We have classes in all government hospitals. And all the hospitals are well equiped, well maintained, hygienic and have best infrastructure unlike universities in India. Lets not talk about the infrastructures of India government medical college.

2. WHO OR MCI APPROVED COLLEGES - Almost all universities in Russia are WHO and MCI approved. This means you are elligible to give an exam for medical licensing in India.

Talking about this, many will say about low FMGE rate of foreign graduated students.

Now, this is because of many things. Firstly, many students don’t study reguarly after going to foreign countries as they enjoy their freedom.

It is not because of universities but students that they fail in the exam.

1. PROFESSORS - All the professors teaching in the universities are respected Doctors or medical professionals who are happy to help you whenever you want.

They are so friendly and enthusiastic. Let me give you my example, During my 1st year, I had heard that anatomy is difficult and many students fail and reattempt in the exams, I was really tensed about it.

1. EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES - Russians give equal importance to studies as they give to other activities like sports, events, etc.

This makes us different from other MBBS graduates.

Let me illustrate how is this different, many say that doctors don’t have life outside the hospital. This is because whie studying MBBS, students are so pressurised to study and are not given time other than studies.

This thing about India is why even after graduating Doctors don’t know how to manage life outside the hospital.

But in foreign countries like Russia, we are given time other than our studies to participate in events.

Also, because of this many students keep exploring and searching for different things other than doing MBBS.

Is it good studying MBBS IN RUSSIA

I would say, you should do it. When life gives you opportunities like these, you should grab it without hesitating.

Ofcourse, every student who is studying now in Russia once dreamt of Indian government medical college but I can guarantee no one regreted after coming to Russia.

Even I wanted Indian government medical college, but that was because I didn’t know much about medical colleges in Russia.

MBBS in Russia is really good.
