Unfortunately missing the R1 deadlines due to not scoring high enough on the GRE (aiming for 333 )
- 28 M
- US Citizen
- Asian American
- GPA: 3.34 from state university (i have 150 college credits)
- Major: Econ
- GRE: aiming for 333
- Industry: B4 (unfortunately from a company that sends a lot of people to the M7) Consulting (but in Government and Public Sector (I have a Secret Clearance) - will they consider my industry public sector or consulting?)
- Certifications: PMP
- International Experience: study abroad in Madrid
- First Gen
- LGBT (gay)
I probably would not have been a strong candidate for R1 anyways considering my GPA? I’m hoping that in R2 they are lacking in First Gen/LGBT. Also i know they officially say the R1 vs R2 volume is 50/50 but they say that so that not everyone applies R1… what is the actual volume for M7 R2? I’ve read that it can be as much as 6x R2.
Also I would think that R1 is about obtaining as many strong candidates as possible (high GPA and GMAT/GRE medians for rankings) and R2 is about shaping the class for diversity?
